We have continued to receive a number of thank you note and appreciation from over the globe for our excellent work to the communities.


In fact I’ve to thank ‘KECOBAT and the staff for enlighting me at the recent workshop held Kenya School of Government, Embu. About how I can make a living with my father 7 acres shamba lying idle, neighboring the buffer zones of the forest. Am to lobby for a donor who can put up cottages in, and we make legal pact agreements on how we exploit resources now available. The Kenya Community Based Tourism Network (KECOBAT) network was launched in August 2003 as a membership umbrella organization representing the interest of Community Based Tourism (CBT) organizations in Kenya.

It aims to facilitate information sharing; delivering appropriate technical support and advisory services; mediating and lobbying their interests to government and other relevant institutions and thereby integrating community concerns into national tourism.
